OrePlugins
A storefront for the Minecraft plugins I write. One membership covers every plugin and every update, and anything released while you are a member stays yours if you cancel.

The problem
Plugin marketplaces sell one plugin at a time, and a lot of what is on them was abandoned two game versions ago. A server owner ends up buying six things from six people, each with its own update schedule, and finds out which ones are dead the next time the game updates.
What I built
A marketplace where one subscription covers the whole catalogue, with licence keys and gated downloads behind it. The pitch is deliberately narrow: plugins built by one developer who runs the servers they are written for, on a current game version, finished rather than in progress.
The decision that mattered
One subscription for everything means entitlement is a date range, not a yes or no. Whether you can download a particular build is a question about when that build was released measured against when you were a member.
Getting that wrong fails in one of two expensive directions. Too loose and the entire catalogue walks out the door on a one month membership. Too strict and you take back things people already paid for, which is the kind of thing a community remembers.
Where it stands
Live on its own domain with checkout open. Behind it there is a real server running fifteen of the plugins, which matters more than it sounds: the store is not selling software that nobody actually runs.
